Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori was an amazing, inspirational, innovative woman who believed children under the age of six absorb knowledge spontaneously and without effort. Montessori observed that through independence children perfected physical, mental and social skills.

The prepared environment of a Montessori school is designed to support these aspects of development and allows children the freedom to explore the setting subliminally learning through their actions. We aim to encourage all children to use their inner resources to the full; to become independent self motivated learners who can work and play harmoniously with their peers.

Children can choose freely from the activities available, to learn from each other while being guided toward the next level of achievement by a Montessori teacher.

Children have the opportunity to learn through their own individual activity, giving them the freedom of choice to access equipment for themselves.
